About Online Banking

With MemberDirect® online service you have the convenience of 24/7 access to your New Waterford Credit Union account.

Before you get started you need a personal Access Code (PAC). This code ensures the security and confidentiality of your system. If you don't already have one contact New Waterford Credit Union.

Getting Started:
  • To log in visit nwcu.net or newwaterfordcreditunion.com or download our mobile app for your Apple or Android device.
  • Enter your 8 digit account number. The 6th and 7th digits should always be 0. Example: 12345006
  • Enter your personal access code (PAC).
  • On your first log in you will also be required to set up security questions.

MemberDirect Alerts

With MemberDirect Alerts, you can notify customers with text messages (SMS) or emails of the following types of activity:

  • Balance alerts - flag insufficient funds or when account balances drop below a predefined minimum
  • Transaction alerts - are sent when predetermined limits have been exceeded on deposits or withdrawals and notifies when bill payments could fail
  • Security alerts - detect account activity such as the addition of a new bill payment vendor, or if a customer’s Personal Access Code has been changed

It's easy!

The registration process to use the alerts feature consists of the following steps.

 1. Adding an email and/or a mobile contact.

 2. Editing account nicknames.

 3. Selecting the alerts to be sent for each account.

No personal information, account numbers, login information, or any data that could be used to identify accounts or individuals can be retrieved. In the Alerts messages, accounts are identified by nicknames that the member creates. While the service is provided with a high level of security, end users are responsible for ensuring authorized usage of and access to their online banking account, email account and mobile phone.


INTERAC E-Transfer

Send and receive money by email through online banking. INTERAC E-Transfers allow you to send money from your Credit Union accounts to anyone with an email address and a bank account at a participating financial institution. You can also receive INTERAC E-Transfers directly into your Credit Union accounts. It's fast, convenient and secure!

IT'S EASY!

  1. Log-in to online banking
  2. Click ‘Transfers’

  3. Click ‘Send INTERAC E-Transfer’

  4. Choose the account to ‘Transfer From’

  5. Enter the amount you want to send

  6. Choose the recipient to ‘Transfer To’

  7. Click ‘Continue’

  8. ‘Confirm’ all the information is correct

  • $3,000 per transaction
  • $10,000 per week
  • $20,000 per month

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • First time users of INTERAC E-Transfers will be prompted to create/edit their ‘Sender Profile’
  • The email addresses you enter for yourself and recipients will be used to inform you and the recipient when a transfer has been sent, received, or declined.
  • For your security, only you and the recipient should know the security question and answer.
  • You can edit a recipient's information or delete them at any time
  • It can take 15-30 minutes for the recipient to receive a notification email regarding the INTERAC E-Transfer.
  • If the recipient does not accept and deposit the INTERAC E-Transfer within 30 days of it being sent, it will be automatically deposited back into your account.

Lock'N'Block

Now you can lock or block your credit union debit card anytime, anywhere.

Lock'N'Block is a new, first of its kind, card block service; it's quick, easy, and convenient - whether your card has been lost or stolen, you can rely on Lock'N'Block to protect you from fraud with the click of a button.

How it works

  • Login to your account via online, mobile web, or mobile app.

  • Click the Lock’N’Block icon.

  • Select the card and toggle to either ‘lock’ or ‘unlock’.
  • That’s it!

Lost or Stolen Debit Card

If your debit card is lost or stolen, you can immediately prevent any unauthorized transactions by using Lock’N’Block. Once you’ve locked your card and blocked any transactions, you will still need to report your card as lost or stolen by calling 1-888-277-1043.
